In our work we try to cultivate Rysin folk song, dance, national costumes and tradition. Ensemble "Taras Sevcenko" appeared on many stages throughout the Yugoslavia and on a couple of international festivals in European cities.

And now, little something about our hometown. Djurdjevo is a village that has around 5000 citizens, mostly of Serbian and Rusyn nationality. We are settled at the north of Yugoslavia in the province of Vojvodina between the cities of Novi Sad to the west and Zrenjanin to the east. Djurdjevo is well known in this part of the World for the sweetest watermelons you have ever tasted. On the pictures to the left you can see our residents in traditional Rusyn wardrobe and some shots of our village and tradition.
